The Short:
Incorporating alt/pop/punk/rock, 3 KISSES serve up their own unique blend of Texas Party Punk with a positive, party vibe. Since their inception in January 2004, the buzz surrounding 3 Kisses has been growing exponentially. They have performed over 275 live shows for more than 300,000 people in twelve states across the US and have been on the reality TV show, Wife Swap for 15 million viewers. 3 Kisses released their third full-length CD in May 2007 and were recently inducted into the Independent Music Registry. Martin Folkman, Publisher of the Musician's Atlas says, Nut Job "combines pop, metal and punk into a musical fusion that is: One: infectious; Two: out of this world; and uniquely: Three Kisses! This band packs more energy into a 3-minute song than all the WMD's combined!" Madalyn Sklar of GoGirlsMusic.com says, "catchy tunes and a rockin' beat. Tish Meeks and company have unleashed frenzy, so hop along and join the ride!" 3 Kisses delivers quality entertainment, whether playing a full electric set, or toning things down a bit with acoustic finesse. Sponsored by big names like Daisy Rock Guitars, Paul Reed Smith Guitars, Sam Ash Music Stores, Miller Lite, Dirtbag Clothing, Dunlop, Coffin Case, Old Dog Products and Jägermeister, this band is getting a lot of attention and show no signs of slowing down. For a good time, join the party with 3 Kisses!
The Long:
3 Kisses jumps from one high energy style to another with traces of just about every cool female-fronted rock band of the last 20 years. The band has been compared to an array of artists including the Cranberries, Luscious Jackson, the Breeders, Joan Jett, the Buzzcocks, Letters to Cleo, Wendy O. Williams, Blondie, the Ramones and everything in between. They have coined the phrase "Texas Party Punk" to describe their music. 3 Kisses' live performance has been called "freakin' explosive" and lead singer/guitarist Tish Meeks has been referred to as "a ball of fire on stage". Along with husband, Tony Meeks (guitar) Tish launched 3 Kisses in Austin, TX, in January 2004. Since then they have performed for over 300 live shows for over 300,000 people. In February 2007, then again in July 2007, Tish and Tony Meeks were featured on ABC's Wife Swap performing for almost 15 million viewers.
An idiosyncratic combination of alternative, pop, rock and punk filled with catchy guitar hooks and introspective lyrics, the heartfelt vocals and positive party vibe make the songs of 3 Kisses addicting. Tumultuous lyrics delivered in a zany, upbeat fashion has become a 3 Kisses trademark. Martin Folkman, Publisher of the Musician's Atlas writes, "3 Kisses is fronted by the kinetic Tish Meeks who no guitar, mic stand or stage can contain. [This band] packs more energy into a 3-minute song than all the WMD's combined!"
